The StudioTate drawing process
Step 1

First, and most importantly, you will provide StudioTate the subject to draw, (usually and preferably a photo, submitted either digitally or as a hard copy). For the best results, the image should be 3"x5" at a minimum, with highly contrasting values and sharply focused. The photo seen here is a great example for a portrait drawing.
Step 2
Once the scope of the project is agreed upon, the drawing begins. StudioTate requires a 1/3 deposit of the total cost at this point of the project. Once the piece is near completion, we will provide you a special link that shows your drawing in progress. Once approved, the finishing touches of the drawing will be made, and the work will be prepared for delivery.
Step 3

A link to a page showing the final image of the work will be sent for final approval before we ship the piece to you. At this point, the remainder of the project and shipping costs will be invoiced. Upon receiving payment, your custom drawing will be sent to you through an appropriate shipping method.
StudioTate specializes in graphite and colored pencil portraits, still life, and drawings of any special objects of affection. Our drawings are perfect for holiday, birthday, or anniversary gifts, and have commonly been used for digital and printed media. The portrait shown here is a cropped image of an 18 in. x 24 in. pencil and charcoal drawing on natural white paper. All original works are created by Nick Tate.
